About Heritage Home Child Care
Trusted, Community-Based Early Learning and Care in Scarborough Since 1985
Heritage Home Child Care is a thriving non-profit organization proudly serving families in Scarborough since 1985. For nearly four decades, we have been dedicated to providing high-quality early learning and care that families can trust.
Our programs are led by qualified Registered Early Childhood Educators, Educational Assistants, and committed Home Child Care Providers, all of whom share a passion for creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children can thrive.
Families who choose Heritage can feel confident knowing their children are supported in building the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need for lifelong success.
We are licensed by the Ministry of Education under the Child Care and Early Years Act and are evaluated annually through the Assessment for Quality Improvement to ensure we continue to meet and exceed high standards of care.
In Our Programs, Children Are Encouraged To:
• Build social skills through friendships, problem-solving, sharing, and caring for others.
• Strengthen motor skills with daily outdoor play and thoughtfully selected learning materials.
• Explore, discover, and grow through a play-based curriculum that lays a strong foundation for future academic and personal success.
At Heritage, we believe that strong partnerships with families are key to every child’s well-being. We value open communication, collaboration, and trust—working hand-in-hand with parents to ensure children feel supported every step of the way.
Whether you choose one of our vibrant child care centres or a warm home-based program, we’re here to help you make an informed and confident choice for your family.
