Home Child Care
Our home child care services offer high quality child care in a warm home environment. At Heritage HCCS we recruit, assess and train caregivers and ensure high standards of care are delivered in every home. Home child care providers are contracted self-employed individuals that provide child care in their homes. When they join our agency, they are under the licensed umbrella of our organization. They are committed in maintaining a service that meets all the regulations, policies and procedures mandated by Heritage HCCS, the Ministry of Education and Toronto Children’s Services. Home child care providers attend pre-service and on-going training such as first aid, child development, health and safety and curriculum design. A home visitor consults with parents and helps them coordinate a successful home child care experience for their children. Home visitors are Registered Early Childhood Educators and will conduct monthly home visits to each child care home where they observe and document program activities in the home as well as review the health and safety of each home.
We provide early learning and child care for children aged 2.5 years to 10 years of age. There are two child care centers available that meet the highest provincial and municipal requirements and standards. One program is housed in the St. Rene Goupil Catholic School and the other at the Milliken Public School. Locations are in the Midland and McNicoll areas of Scarborough. These facilities are staffed with highly qualified Registered Early Childhood Educators and Educational Assistants. The programs are licensed and accept subsidized clients. The curriculum follows Ontario’s vision of “Early Learning for Every Child”. We believe that children learn best in an environment rich in experiences and loving care.
